NAD2 Foundation is a registered not for profit organization, with the Registrar General’s Department and the Department of Social Welfare in Ghana seeking to improve the socio-economic well being of vulnerable and destitute children in the Djanman-Pokuase traditional area.
The idea of the formation of NAD2 Foundation was conceived by Nana Ama Djanbea II, queen mother of the Djanman-Pokuase traditional area. Its office is located at Djanman-Pokuase in the Ga North Municipal Assembly of the Greater Accra Region of the Republic of Ghana.
The activities began in 2016 and officially registered and established in August 2019 by the founder and leader, Nana Ama Djanbea II and team.
Plans are also far advanced to provide vocational training Institute for the youth in this community to promote employment, and also provide a learning center for students in the community to improve education among the youth in the community. This will curb the growing rate of teenage pregnancy and in effect, make the young women in the Djanman-Pokuase Traditional Area more productive.
NAD2 FOUNDATION CONSIDERS THE FOLLOWING DISCIPLINES FOR 50 BENEFICIARIES AT A TIME:
■ Cookery and food preservation
■ Sewing and Dress Making
■ Child Care and Support for Infants and Children
■ Sanitation Care Providers
The following are services that NAD2 FOUNDATION intends to provide for the benefit of the people and children living in and around Djanman-Pokuase:
■ A modern and Well Equipped Pre – School and Kindergarten Facility
■ Free health care for the widows and the aged in the community
■ A learning centre for students in the community.
Nana Ama Djanbea II has instituted regular clean-up exercise, health screening in her traditional area to improve the general health and well-being of the people living there.
To periodically roll out a number of activities for the people within Djanman-Pokuase, to ensure that their living standards improve in the community to an appreciable status to propel the good name and resources that the community is naturally endowed with.
To improve on the social, moral, cultural and economic living of the people of Djanaman-Pokuase to an enviable standard.
